Karthik Subbaraj’s experimental silent film has hit the screens worldwide on April 13, except in Tamil Nadu. The film did not release in Tamil Nadu due to the ongoing strike. Director Karthik Subbaraj had earlier apologised to the audience on his Twitter page, for not releasing the film in his home state. He has also requested his fans to wait for the release of the movie and not resort to pirated versions.
The lead actor of the film Prabhu Deva, has also made a similar request to the audience, to watch Mercury only in theatres and not to watch the pirated versions till the film gets released officially in Tamil Nadu.
The suspense of #Mercury is best watched on the big screen. Please don't watch pirated versions.. Our humble request 🙂#SayNoToPiracy @karthiksubbaraj pic.twitter.com/Z595MNPQxc
