One more Badlapur actor to star opposite Rajinikanth?

 

Call it a mere co-incidence or destiny, but seems like Sriram Raghavan directed Badlapur (2015), which had Varun Dhawan in the lead has some sort of connection with the Tamil superstar Rajinikanth. Following Varun's co-stars from the film Radhika Apte (Kabali -2016)) and Huma Qureshi (Kaala-2018), it is now Nawazuddin Siddiqui who in the news for a role alongside Rajinikanth. Reportedly, Siddiqui has been approached for playing villain in the Sun Pictures produced Karthik Subbaraj directorial, with the actor's being the second name after Vijay Sethupathi to be associated with the said role. 

If one may recall, Siddiqui while attending a comedy TV show in Hindi had jokingly said, "Any actress who does a film with me can land a film with Rajinikanth! Look at Radhika (Apte) and Huma (Qureshi)." Ironically, if materialized, he himself would have landed a role with Rajinikanth. It is worth mentioning here that some reports also quote Siddiqui's manager neither denying nor confirming the news and instead stating, “If it was true it would be great, but no, there is nothing like this happening.”
