From the superhit Aval to Santosh Sivan's next - A brief chat with editor Lawrence Kishore
Aval has emerged as a Superhit in Tamil and it's also doing well in Telugu, as Gruham. One of the young technicians who impressed a lot with his work in the film is editor Lawrence Kishore. He's a former associate of TS Suresh (in films like Inam, Vaalu, Vanakkam Chennai) and made his debut with the film Nisabdham, earlier in the year. He's also working on the Vijay Antony starrer Kaali and will soon start work for Santosh Sivan's ongoing directorial, which is a trilingual in Tamil, Malayalam and English.
Here's a brief chat with Lawrence Kishore about his career so far,
"In 2013, when I was working in Inam as an assistant editor, Santosh Sivan sir was the first person to encourage me to become an individual editor. Later on, I debuted in the film Nisabdham. Now in 2017, I get a call from Santosh sir saying that I'm the editor for his next film. It makes me so happy.
Coming to Aval, Sreekar Prasad sir was the one who referred me to Siddharth and director Milind. The film is a big Hit now.
I wish to thank both these legends and also the dialogue writer of Inam, Aarti for playing key roles in jumpstarting my editing career."
Best wishes, Lawrence Kishore.
