The makers of Con City have announced that dubbing for the film has been completed, with two weeks to spare before its June 26 theatrical release. The film marks the directorial debut of Harish Durairaj and is headlined by Arjun Das, Anna Ben, Vadivukkarasi and Yogi Babu.
The title teaser released in March offered a glimpse into the film's premise — Arjun Das's character discovers that his receipt printer has begun generating real Rs 500 notes following a freak lightning strike accident. The struggling family around him, played by Anna Ben, Yogi Babu and Vadivukkarasi, each stumble upon the windfall, only for the story to spiral into chaos when the outside world catches wind of the money-printing machine.
The makers have described Con City as a film that will appeal to all sections of the audience, rooted in the emotional reality of a middle-class family navigating life in the city.
The ensemble cast also includes Sakshi Vaidya, VTV Ganesh, Thambi Ramaiah, Ramesh Thilak, Ponvannan, Radha Ravi, Baradwaj Rangan and others. On the technical front, Sean Roldan composes the music, Aravind Viswanathan handles cinematography, Arulmoses A edits the film, and Raj Kamal serves as art director. Con City is produced by Power House Pictures in association with M&M Movie Makers and Klout Studios, and will release in Telugu alongside Tamil.
