Italian glam sensation Monica Anna Maria Bellucci, who is known for her works in Italian, American, and French movies, was the muse behind an Anirudh Ravichander composed song titled Monica, which features in the Tamil-Indian film Coolie releasing August 14, 2025. 

Opening up about the same, Coolie writer, director Lokesh Kanagaraj told The Hollywood Reporter India, "We (Anirudh and I) both are huge fans of Monica Bellucci. So initially we decided on Monica Bellucci (as muse for the) song, and then we named (actress) Pooja Hegde (who makes a special dance appearance in Coolie) as Monica."

The director further stated, "I heard someone sent her a text with Instagram comments that said, 'you have to listen to this Tamil song' to Monica Bellucci's real account. I do not know if she replied or not." The Monica song from Coolie released on July 11, 2025, and incidentally Monica Belluci's last Instagram post was also on that same Friday. 

The comments on her post reflect an influx of Tamil fans post the Coolie second single release. Coolie headlined by Supertstar Rajinikanth is a multi-starrer action thriller that releases in theaters on August 14, 2025. Incidentally Rajini's character in Coolie 'Deva', shares his name with Monica Bellucci's real-life daughter, actress Deva Cassel. 

Coolie is made on a massive budget of Rs. 350 Cr. by Sun Pictures. The movie also releases in Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam under the same title, and in Hindi as Coolie: The Powerhouse.
