Vidaamuyarchi starring Ajith Kumar in the lead is releasing on February 6, 2025. A Lyca Productions venture, the movie is a Tamil adaptation of the Hollywood thriller Breakdown (1997) and is written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni. Now it has been officially announced that Vidaamuyarchi's Tamil Nadu release will be handled by deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's distribution company, Red Giant Movies. 

Also starring Trisha, Regina Cassandra, Arjun Sarja, Aarav among others, Vidaamuyarchi has Anirudh Ravichander for music, Om Prakash for cinematography, NB Srikanth for edits, and Supreme Sundar for action/stunts. 

Vidaamuyarchi's audio rights are with Sony Music label. Post its theatrical run, Vidaamuyarchi's OTT release is on Netflix streaming platform. Vidaamuyarchi's satellite rights are with Sun TV Tamil channel. Vidaamuyarchi is expected to clear censor with an U/A, and a runtime of 150.46 minutes i.e. 2 hours 30 minutes and 46 seconds. 

Vidaamuyarchi's story revolves around a man who ventures into a notorious desert area in search of his missing ex-wife, only to uncover a dangerous web controlled by a ruthless gangster. The man's personal quest quickly turns into a high-stakes battle for survival, exposing dark secrets that threaten his life, and the fragile balance of the criminal underworld in Azerbaijan.
