Amaran starring Sivakarthikeyan in the lead is a biopic on late Indian Army major Mukund Varadarajan AC (P), and the movie released in theaters on October 31, 2024. After a phenomenal second weekend, Amaran is looking to complete two weeks of run on November 13. 

Amaran is distributed by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies in Tamil Nadu, and with the film not slowing down anytime soon, they plan on retaining significant theater screens for Amaran in to week 3. Notably, third week is also a time when exhibitors get the highest share from a movie's run.

As a result, Kanguva, the epic action starring Suriya in dual roles faces potential threat from the two week old Amaran in Tamil Nadu. Kanguva releases in theaters on November 14, 2024 (Thursday).
