Popular reality TV show Bigg Boss Tamil is gearing up for a Season 8 premiere on October 6, 2024 at 6 PM. BB Tamil 8's grand launch that Sunday will air on Vijay TV Tamil channel, and streamed on Disney Plus Hotstar OTT platform. 

Actor Vijay Sethupathi in his first stint with the Star Vijay network, is hosting Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8. Vijay Sethupathi replaces Kamal Haasan after seven seasons. A 24X7 version of Bigg Boss Tamil 8 will be available to streamed on Disney+ Hotstar. Air time version of Bigg Boss 8 will be televised Monday to Sunday at 9: 30 PM IST.

The Bigg Boss house like always, is put up at EVP Film City near Chennai. Recently, an Uttar Pradesh-based set worker named Mohammad Shaheen Khan, fell from a height of 20 feet while setting up the Bigg Boss Tamil house for Season 8. The incident has injured Khan with a broken arm and hips, and he is currently still hospitalized.
