Actor Sivakarthikeyan turned 39 on February 17, 2024 and in lieu of the star's birthday, the makers of his upcoming movie Amaran unveiled two posters, a teaser and the major transformation Sivakarthikeyan underwent for playing the role of Chennai based martyred Indian Army officer Mukund Varadarajan AC. 

A recipient of India's highest peacetime gallantry award - the Ashoka Chakra, Mukund Varadarajan was a newly turned 31 year old when he brave-heartedly lost his life during an intense terrorist encounter at Shopian, Kashmir. Mukund Varadarajan's surviving wife Indhu Rebecca Varghese has reacted to the Amaran title teaser that gave a glimpse of the zeal behind her late husband's drive by writing,

Amaran has dialogues and direction by Rajkumar Periyasamy, who is known for making Rangoon (2017). The filmmaker took to the X Platform to reply to this post and thank Indhu Rebecca for 'trusting him' with Mukund Varadharajan's story.
