Captain Miller is an upcoming period actioner starring Dhanush in the lead, and the movie is all set to hit theater screens on January 12, 2024. Ahead of the film's release, the makers of Captain Miller have unveiled a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video titled The Journey of Captain Miller. 

Not only does the video give us glimpses of Captain Miller's making, it also features snippets of the film's cast and crew in action. Writer, director Arun Matheswaran during one of his promotional interviews for Captain Miller, had said that film's producer T. G. Thyagarajan once pulled the unimaginable*, by saving the entire team from a point, they thought was of no return. This Sathya Jyothi Films founder was also seen in the Captain Miller making video for a quick second.

* "There was a problem during shoot, it came to the point of halting the entire filming. We were worried that with all the sets put up here, we've come to the point of returning to Chennai. Half the shoot was already done here. It was big problem. We were told to stop filming...(Producer TG Thyagarajan) came from Chennai to Courtallam (where filming was taking place). 

 

People won't believe this but when we were all getting ready to pack up, he came and stood like a Lion. Captain Miller making video comes with English subtitles, and both costume designer Poornima Ramaswamy and director of photography Siddhartha Nuni, attest to challenging weather being a part of the film's shooting. Art director Tha. Ramalingam revealed that the 200X150 (LXB) feet temple which is central to Captain Miller's plot would have required atleast 5 months to set up, but was put up within 2 month's span.  

A period actioner set during colonial India, Captain Miller revolves around a former British soldier turned renegade, who is on a mission to protect his village from the British, as they intend to loot a treasure, hidden and protected by the villagers. 

The U/A film comes with a runtime of 157.50 Mins [2 hours 37 minutes 50 seconds], and also stars Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Sundeep Kishan, Edward Sonnenblick, John Kokken, Nivedhithaa Sathish, Aditi Balan among others. Captain Miller has GV Prakash for music.
