Tamil film Jailer starring actor Rajinikanth in the lead released in theaters on August 10, 2023 and recently completed 25 days of solid box-office run. The film's reasonable ticket price and phenomenal box office run not just ensured a 2-3 times the profit for exhibitors and distributors, but a whopping Rs. 600 Cr+ collection worldwide. 

Sun Pictures producer Kalanithi Maran expressed his gratitude to Jailer cast and crew by presenting the core team with expensive luxury cars, and a cheque that is presumed to include the team's share of profits. While Kalanithi Maran visited Rajinikanth personally at his residence and made the Superstar choose a BMW of his liking, director Nelson and music composer Anirudh, backbones of the film were presented Porsche cars at the Sun TV office.

Jailer has currently completed 26 days of theatrical run and is still going strong in theater screens. The movie's OTT release is expected on September 7, 2023 though an official announcement on the same is awaited.
