Actor Vijay Sethupathi was previously listed as one of the three actors suspected to have done a voice-over for Sivakarthikeyan's next film Maaveeran. It appears that Vijay Sethupathi is indeed part of the film, which releases in theatres on July 14, 2023.

A fantasy entertainer that revolves around a press illustrator who is cowardly about violence, Maaveeran is written and directed by Madonne Ashwin of Mandela (2021) fame. Also starring Aditi Shankar, Mysskin, Yogi Babu, Saritha, Telugu actor Sunil among others, Maaveeran also releases in Telugu as Mahaveerudu. 

The U/A censored movie is a production venture of Shanthi Talkies and Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Films is releasing the film in Tamil Nadu. Bharath Shankar has composed music for this film. Amazon Prime Video and Sun TV hold the OTT and satellite rights respectively.
