Director Mysskin plays a villain role in actor Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming movie Maaveeran, and the filmmaker has now spilled the beans about the highly buzzed voice-over in the movie. Previously, it was said that Maaveeran's mystery no-face character is voiced over by Kamal Haasan. However Mysskin has said that though names like Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth were suggested to Maaveeran's director Madonne Ashwin, he did not bring the veterans onboard.

Maaveeran's mystery voice over is done by another famous actor; Mysskin has not revealed who the star is. Online, fans and Tamil cine buffs have been taking guesses and so far they predict it could either be Vijay Sethupathi, Silambarasan TR or Dhanush. However this is not official. 

Maaveeran produced by Shanthi Talkies also releases in Telugu as Mahaveerudu. The movie hits theater screens on July 14, 2023. Bharath Shankar has composed music for this film, which revolves around a comic artist and also stars Aditi Shankar, Saritha, Yogi Babu, among others.
