The official trailer of Sivakarthikeyan's next big movie - Maaveeran [Tamil]/Mahaveerudu [Telugu] is out now and the film is all set to release in theaters from July 14, 2023. First impression report (FIR) of the video unveiled:

Interesting Concept

It was established prior to the trailer release that Maaveeran is a fantasy film that is idea and concepts-based. The fantasy element at play here seems to be something the protagonist looks for above eye level, and its mysterious nature makes it even more interesting. The trailer further reveals that the movie will be a full entertainer with action, comedy and a little bit of drama to the story.

Fresh Sivakarthikeyan

Sivakarthikeyan plays a coward comic in the movie, who is assigned to give a new life to his work. Seemingly as he does so, he parallelly gains courage and strength to ward off the bad guys. Both in looks and character, Sivakarthikeyan's new avatar comes across as something fans haven't seen before in his movies. There is even a Captain-America-wielding-mjolnir-equivalent moment between 1:46 - 1: 49 in the trailer.  

Music & Other Aspects

Bharath Shankar who made a mark with Mandela in 2021 is back at it again with Maaveeran. He definitely comes across as a promising find with his work so far. Action seems to be another technical aspect to look forward to in Maaveeran. 

Bottomline: Madonne Ashwin did make an impressive debut with Mandela taking home a National award for both direction and dialogues of the movie. His sophmore Maaveeran looks no less promising and seems worth the wait to see what the filmmaker has in store this time around.
