Actor Rajinikanth's upcoming film Jailer is an action thriller written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of Beast (2022), Doctor (2021) and Kolamaavu Kokila (2018) fame. The movie produced by Sun Pictures has a host of actors attached to its cast list namely - Tamannaah Bhatia, Shivarajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Telugu actor Sunil, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu among others. 

Latest name revealed to be part of the Jailer's cast is actor Jaffer Sadiq who made a mark last year by starring in Kamal Haasan's Vikram, and Silambarasan TR - Gautham Menon's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu Part 1: The Kindling. An official announcement on Jaffer's casting is currently awaited.

Previously we had reported that Jailer is aiming for an August 11 release in theaters. Latest MovieCrow hears, uncertainty prevails over the film's release date and the makers are looking at either August 11, 2023 (the Friday before Independence day weekend), September 19, 2023 (Vinayaka Chaturthi Tuesday) or October 19, 2023 (the Thursday before Dussehra weekend).
