Beast starring Vijay in the lead is a heist action thriller written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Sun Pictures, producers of the movie marked 1 year since the release of Beast today and Tamil twitter has been revisiting memories and judgements about the movie. Beast was famously criticized for certain logical loopholes, and Vijay's father-filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar agreed with the common consensus that the film lacked a proper story. 

However the film's aesthetics, high octane action, big budget production and even the songs by Anirudh were well received by the audience, more so in rewatches. The section of the Tamil crowd that was initially let down agrees today that despite all its flaws, Beast makes for an entertaining watch. Others still seem to have reservations.
