Lokesh Kanaraj's upcoming movie Leo is part of the director's Lokesh Cinematic Universe aka the LCU. Crossovers from other LCU movies like Kaithi (2019) and Vikram (2022) are hence expected, and there is a certain amount of curiosity surrounding which of the main LCU characters will be name-dropped and which will make cameos - both voice and on screen.
Actor Vijay Sethupathi (VJS) who played a drug lord and main antagonist in Vikram, is making a return as Santhanam for Leo. However Vijay Sethupathi will be making only a voice cameo and seemingly, director Lokesh Kanagaraj has asked VJS to allot 3 days for his dubbing portions.
Famously, Leo star Vijay and actor Vijay Sethupathi locked horns in another Lokesh Kanagaraj movie called Master (2021). Fans of the onscreen duo are now getting a reunion albeit via a voice cameo. It is worth mentioning here that Sandhanam's voice cameo further confirms that Leo's story is set before the events of Vikram.
Sandhanam gets killed in Vikram, and one of his dead victims - Agent Tina (played by actress Vasanthi) also makes an on screen appearance in Leo. Leo produced by 7 Screen Studio is scheduled to release in theaters on October 19, 2023.
