Suriya 42 (tentative title) is a mega-budgeted fantasy genre movie starring actor Suriya in the lead. The film written by Siva, Adi Narayana, Madan Karky (dialogues) and directed by Siva is is scheduled to release in 3D in 10 languages, and is jointly produced by Studio Green, UV Creations. The title teaser and the film's release date is expected to be unveiled on Tamil New Year day i.e. April 14, 2023 and at this time, buzz has it that Suriya 42 is titled after one of Suriya's historical characters in the movie. 

If one may recall, the Suriya 42 announcement video came with 5 historical names -  Arathar, Venkaater, Mukaatar, Mandaankar and Perumanathar. These were said to be the names of Suriya's characters in the movie. Suriya 42 editor Nishad Yusuf had also previously revealed that the movie comes with a 1000-year old backstory. It remains to be seen if one of these names ends up to be the title of Suriya 42. 

Also starring Disha Patani, KS Ravikumar, Yogi Babu, Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anand Raj among others, Suriya 42 has Devi Sri Prasad for music, Vetri Palanisamy for cinematography, Supreme Sundar for stunts, Milan for art and Shobi for dance choreography.
