Movies this week on OTT platforms in India, what each of them are about and where to watch them: 

1. Pathaan [Amazon Prime Video]: Pathaan is a spy action thriller starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia, Ashuthosh Rana, Salman Khan (in a cameo), among others. The movie directed by Siddharth Anand is part of YRF's spy universe franchise, and tells the tale of an exiled Indian RAW agent (Pathaan), who saves his country from a group of mercenaries led by an ex-RAW agent named Jim. Pathaan has been streaming in multiple languages since March 22, 2023. 

2. Bakasuran [Amazon Prime Video]: Starring Selvaraghavan, Natty Natarajan, Devadharshini, Mansoor Ali Khan, Cool Suresh, Radha Ravi, K. Rajan among others, this Tamil movie is directed by Mohan G Kshatriyan. The story is about a man who investigates a disturbing ring of young escorts, cyber harassment and suicide, knowing the importance of parents being aware of their children's problems. Bakasurans's OTT release date is March 24, 2023.  

3. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga [Netflix]: Starring Yami Gautam, Sunny Kaushal, Sharad Kelkar, Indraneil Sengupta among others, this Hindi language direct OTT release follows a flight attendant and her boyfirned's planned heist 40,000 feet above the grounnd. How their plan gets derailed when they get dragged into a hostage situation forms the rest of the movie. Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga's OTT release date is March 24, 2023 and the movie is directed by Ajay Singh.

4. Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha [Aha]: VBVK (acronym) is a Telugu romantic entertainer starring Kiran Abbavaram and Kashmira Pardeshi. Written and directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, the film revolves around a librarian whose life takes an unexpected turn after crossing paths with a YouTuber. Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha's OTT release date is March 24, 2023. 

5. Oh Meri Laila [Saina Play]: A Malayalam language rom-com starring Antony Varghese, Geethi Sangeetha, the movie written and directed by Abhishek KS follows the romantic pursuits of a college student, who falls for a mysterious girl. The chaos that ensues as a result forms the rest of the film. Oh Meri Laila's OTT release date is March 24, 2023.  

6. Legacy Peak [Amazon Prime Video, Zee 5]: A Hollywood adventure film, Legacy Peak stars actor Lucas Black as Jason, who is on an adventure to win the hearts of his partner Noelle's kids before they marry.  The new family's faith is tested by an unexpected turn of events, before they can all start a life together.

7. Balagam [Amazon Prime Video]: A Telugu language family drama, Balagam's OTT release date is March 24, 2023. The movie follows the story of Sailu (Priyadarshi), a village youth in debt. He believes that getting married and receiving dowry money will help him pay it off, but Sailu's engagement goes on hold when the head of his family and paternal grandfather Komarayya (Sudhakar Reddy) passes away unexpectedly.

8. Furies [Netflix]: Star Wars: The Last Jedi actress Veronica Ngo aka Ngo Thanh Van is a Vietnamese star who is also a director. Furies is the third film directed by her, and it is a prequel to the 2019 movie Furie which starred Ngo Thanh Van as a petty criminal. A female revenge action drama set in the late 90s, Furies takes place 15 years before the events of Furie and will explore Ngo's darker past in the movies. The movie has been streaming in India since March 24, 2023.   

9. Purusha Pretham [Sony Liv]: A crime thriller based on a true story of a missing body, this Malayalam movie starring Darshana Rajendran, Prasanth Alexander, Jagadish has story by Manu Thodupuzha, screenplay by Ajith Haridas and is directed by Krishand. Purusha Pretham's OTT release date is March 24, 2023. 

10. Kanjoos Makhichoos [Zee 5]: A Hindi language black comedy starring Kunal Kemmu, Shweta Tripathi, the movie follows a miser named Jamnaprasad Pandey who saves money to send his parents on a pilgrimage. His tryst with the Indian corruption system after he looses his parents to a flood is what forms the rest of the story. Kanjoos Makhichoos, directed by Vipul Mehta is a direct OTT release and has been streaming from March 24, 2023. 

11. A Man Called Otto [Zee 5, Amazon Prime Video]: When a lively young family moves in next door, grumpy widower Otto Anderson (played by Tom Hanks) meets his match in a quick-witted, pregnant woman named Marisol, leading to an unlikely friendship that turns his world upside down. The Hollywood comedy drama is streaming on Zee 5 from March 24, 2023 [today] and is available to rent on Amazon Prime Video. 

12. Panchatantram [Etv Win]: A blend of five different stories each dealing with a life event tied to one sense organ - sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch, Panchatantram embarks on a quest for peace, fear, will, love, and tenacity. The Telugu language drama is multi-starrer with names like Brahmanandham, Swathi Reddy, Samuthirakani among others. Panchatantram's OTT release date is March 24, 2023.  

13. Poovan [Zee 5]: The Malayalam language film follows the  day to day life of Hari (Antony Varghese), who suffers from terrible insomnia. How his life takes a turn with the arrival of a rooster next door forms the rest of the story. The film is written by Varun Dhara who also plays Hari's friend Febin, and is directed by Vineeth Vasudevan. Poovan's OTT release date is March 24, 2023.
