As previously reported, the digital rights of actor Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming movie Maaveeran [titled Mahaveerudu in Telugu] has been acquired by Amazon Prime Video streaming service, confirmed an official announcement from the film's producers. Maaveeran/Mahaveerudu's OTT release date is expected to be announced close to the film's digital premiere. 

Written and directed by Madonne Ashwin, Maaveeran also stars Aditi Shankar in the lead and is produced by Shanti Talkies. The film has Bharath Shankar for music and also stars Mysskin, Yogi Babu among others.

It is said the Maaveeran's OTT rights for both languages have been bagged for a whopping price of Rs. 35 Cr. The film's satellite rights are said to be with the Sun Network TV channels in both Tamil and Telugu.
