The bygone Diwali in the month of October this year, saw many movies premiering on TV for the first time.  Actor Vjay's Beast, Kamal Haasan's Vikram and Sivakarthikeyan's DON were among the Tamil premieres and Beast has now emerged with the highest TRP among this list. 

Beast was also the highest viewed Diwali movie overall on Tamil TV channels this year. Notably, Ajith's Viswasam continued its high-TRP streak this Diwali as well, and the movie even surpassed new film premieres in terms of this viewership.
