It has now been officially announced that Vikram starrer Cobra will be releasing in theaters on Vinayagar Chaturthi/ Ganesh Chaturthi day i.e. August 31, 2022. 7 Screen Studio, producers of Cobra have also confirmed that Cobra will be releasing in three languages i.e. Tamil and in dubbed Telugu and Kannada versions. 

Cobra opens to a five-day weekend in India. A thriller directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, Cobra will see Vikram play a maths genius gone rogue, alongside actors Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan (former cricketer), Miya George among others. The technical crew of this film includes AR Rahman for music, Harish Kannan for cinematography and Bhuvan Srinivasan for edits.
