Back in 2021, Kamal Haasan had mentioned that he is penning a script for Malayalam editor turned filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan whom he had worked with on the Vishwaroopam movies. Recently, Mahesh Narayanan confirmed that this project is very much on and that the duo plan on starting the movie once Kamal Haasan completes Indian 2. 

Mahesh Narayanan also hinted that Kamal Haasan's Vikram co-star Fahadh Faasil might be part of their movie as well. Additionally it is being said that Mollywood composer Sushin Shyam has been roped in for the film's music. 

Mahesh Narayanan has worked with Fahad in films like Take Off (2017), C U Soon (2020) and Malik (2021) and with Sushin Shyam in Malik.
