Naane Varuven is an upcoming Tamil movie produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, which marks the reunion of actor Dhanush with director Selvaraghavan after 11 years. The film is currently in post-production and recently, Selvaraghavan revealed that the movie has story and screenplay by Dhanush himself. Apparently when the real-life brothers decided to work on a movie again, several ideas were in the mix including a sequel to the duo's 2006 hit Pudhupettai but they ended up finalizing Dhanush's own script.

This makes Naane Varuven Dhanush's second movie after Pa. Paandi as scriptwriter and the first Selvaraghavan movie that is not written by himself. Naane Varuven also marks the reunion of composer Yuvan Shankar Raja with the Dhanush-Selva duo and it has been revealed that there are four songs in the movie. Director Selvaraghavan has penned one of these songs, making Naane Varuven is his 8th movie as lyricist. 

Touted to be a thriller, Naane Varuven also stars Indhuja Ravichandran, Elli Avram, Yogi Babu and Prabhu among others. Dhanush will be seen in dual roles in the movie and it is being suggested that Selvaraghavan will be seen in a cameo as well.
