Movie Theaters this upcoming Eid weekend are gearing up to screen a interesting bunch of movies in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi languages, and here is a quick glimpse of what awaits in store:

1. Acharya (Telugu) - April 29, 2022

Directed by Koratala Siva, Acharya is touted to be an action entertainer set in Dharmasthali and stars Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde among others. The story of the film is said to revolve around a moderately aged Naxalite who becomes a social reformer and wages a campaign against the Endowments Department over the mismanagement and theft of temple assets and cash. Telugu star Mahesh Babu has lent his voice as a narrator of this film.

2. Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal (Tamil) - April 28, 2022

A Vignesh Shivan directed romantic-comedy, KRK (film's acronym) revolves around a man named Ranjankudi Anbarasu Murugesa Boopathy Ohoondhiran aka Rambo (Vijay Sethupathi), whom two girls Kanmani Ganguly (Nayanthara) and Khatija (Samantha) simultaneously fall in love with.

3. Jana Gana Mana (Malayalam) - April 28, 2022

 Actor Prithviraj's theatrical release after two years, Jana Gana Mana is written by Sharis Mohammed and directed by Dijo Jose Antony.     The movie follows a Bangalore based professional who turns into a vigilante after the death of his college going sibling during a campus agitation, devastates him. Suraj Venjaramoodu, Mamta Mohandas, Sri Divya, Pasupathy among others play supporting roles.

4. Runway 34 (Hindi) - April 29, 2022

Ajay Devgn has starred, directed and produced this Hindi language thriller which is based on the true life event of a Jet Airways flight narrowly escaping a crash at the Cochin airport. The movie written by Sandeep Kewlani and Aamil Keeyan Khan also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rakul Preet Singh, Boman Irani among others.

5. Heropanti 2 (Hindi) - April 29, 2022

A spritual sequel to Tiger Shroff starrer action-thriller, Heropanti 2 is written by Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Ahmed Khan. Tiger Shroff returns as Babloo, the vigilante and this time he is sent on a government mission to take over an enemy troop. However he is mistaken for the troop's leader and things go wrong. Heropanti 2 has music by AR Rahman and also stars Tara Sutaria, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Amrita Singh, and Kriti Sanon from the prequel in a special appearance.

6. Hostel (Tamil) - April 28, 2022

2015 Malayalam horror comedy Adi Kapyare Kootamani is coming to Tamil as Hostel and its remake versions stars Ashok Selvan, Priya Bhavani Shankar, comedian Sathish among others. Sumanth Radhakrishnan has directed Hostel.

7. Amaichar (Tamil) - April 29, 2022

A lesser known Tamil movie titled Amaichar is also releasing this Eid and it has music by composer Deva.
