Vijay starrer Beast had its US premiere on April 12, 2022 (local date) and the premiere day gross for the movie was A whopping $683, 757 K i.e. approximately Rs. 5.2 Cr. This gross collection is the second highest for any Tamil movie in USA on its premiere day and by achieving it Beast has pushed Rajinikanth's 2.0 to the third spot.

Interestingly all the top 10 spots for the highest premiere day gross in US by Tamil movies are held by either Rajinikanth or Vijay starrers [Refer image above]. Beast is also the highest grossing Tamil movie of 2022 in USA; It has made $800 K (∼ Rs. 6 Cr.+) from both premiere and day 1 collections.
