Thalapathy 66 (tentative title) is actor Vijay's upcoming movie with Telugu director Vamshi Paidipally, which is expected to go on floors in April 1st week. The movie is produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations and has SS Thaman for music. So far there have been several speculations about the film's heroine and names like Rashmika Mandanna have been strongly associated with the project.

However latest we hear, one of these Bollywood actresses - Kriti Sanon or Disha Patani is the one who will be paired opposite Vijay in Thalapathy 66. Both Kriti and Disha last appeared in Telugu movies in 2015 and they are yet to make their debut in Tamil. 

During the pandemic, Krithi Sanon made a splash with her direct Netflix release Mimi. She was last seen in this year's theatrical release Bachchhan Paandey (she reprised Siddharth's role from Jigarthanda) and will next be seen in Prabhas starrer AdiPurush. Kriti is also doing Hindi movies like Shehzada, Bhediya, Gnanapath and a prospective Meena Kumari biopic.

Disha Patani on the other hand was last seen in Radhe in 2021. She currently awaits the release of movies like Ek Villain Returns, Yodha and is a part of a delayed production titled KTina with Ekta Kapoor.
