A little after Thalapathy 66 (tentative title), actor Vijay's upcoming project was officially announced we had reported that the film will go on floors from April, 2022. Latest we hear Thalapathy 66 is most likely to begin shooting on Ugadi i.e. April 2, 2022 or sometime in the first week of April.

Thalapathy 66 is a production venture of Tollywood film house Sri Venkateswara Creations and it will be directed by Vamshi Paidipally. Pushpa: The Rise heroine Rashmika Mandanna is said to be playing female lead in Thalapathy 66, though an official announcement on the same awaits.
