Recently director Ajay Gnanamuthu announced the shoot wrap of his upcoming movie Cobra starring Vikram in the lead. Cobra has been in production for over 3 years now and Ajay Gnanamuthu took to twitter to thank his team for finally completing the movie. However there was no mention of producer Lalit Kumar or his production banner 7 Screen Studio in this said post.

This was called out as an 'unethical move' and it was pointed out that the producer, especially one who bore the budget that over-shot the estimate for 3 years deserved a mention of thanks. Ajay Gnanamuthu on his end maintained that he did not intentionally leave out the producer's name and that he wasn't the one responsible for the additional costs that went into the making of Cobra.
With due respect sir!! I can prove that I’m not the reason for budget over shoot of cobra whenever and wherever I’m asked to!! Proofs will speak louder and clearer than rumours!! And by “team” it also includes my producer. I’m always not letting him down! Cheers sir 👍🏻
