Rajinikanth's Annaatthe and Vishal, Arya starrer Enemy are gearing up for a Diwali box-office clash this November 4, 2021 (Thursday) and recently while addressing the same, Enemy director Anand Shankar revealed an interesting tid-bit. Implying that he is a Rajinikanth fan himself, Anand Shankar stated,

"In the last 15-20 years, I haven't missed a single first day first show (FDFS) of Superstar Rajinikanth's. I'll continue (the tradition) for Annaatthe too. I hope everyone who follows (the tradition of watching) Annaatthe FDFS, will see the second show of Enemy on Diwali day"

Enemy is touted to be an action thriller based on two friends turned foes while Annaatthe, directed by Siva is a family entertainer surrounding a brother-sister bond. Enemy is produced by Mini Studios, whereas Annaatthe is a production venture of Sun Pictures.
