Mahaan is an upcoming gangster drama directed by Karthik Subbaraj starring Vikram, Dhruv Vikram, Simran, Vani Bhojan and Bobby Simha among others. Latest about the movie is that it is gearing up for a theatrical release this Ayudha Pooja i.e. October 14, 2021 and it will be meeting the Vishal, Arya strarrer Enemy and possibly Sivakarthikeyan's Doctor at the box-office.

Word also has it that in the event of Ajith's Valimai not releasing for Diwali this year, then Mahaan might move its box-office clash to November with Rajinikanth's Annaatthe and Silambarasan TR's Maanaadu. 

Mahaan has Vikram playing the titular character and Dhruv playing his on-screen son Dada. The movie is produced by Screen Scene Studio and has Santhosh Narayanan for music.
