Pushkar-Gayathri directed Vikram Vedha was a 2017 release starring Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi which revolved around a cop and a gangster. Previously we had reported that the directors are remaking the movie in Hindi with Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan and now it has been updated that the movie has set September 30, 2022 as its official release date.

Saif Ali Khan will be playing Vikram, the cop in the remake while Hrithik will be reprising Vijay Sethupathi's gangster character of Vedha. In the movie Vikram is on the lookout for Vedha but the latter voluntarily surrenders himself and tells Vikram three stories which change the police officer's perception about good and bad.

Hrithik and Saif last shared screen space in the 2002 romantic drama Na Tum Jaano Na Hum. This is their first action-thriller together.
