In the first 11 days of its release, Dhanush's Karnan has grossed Rs. 46 Cr. + from the Indian state of Tamil Nadu alone. Starting tomorrow i.e. April 20, 2021 theaters in Tamil Nadu will not have any night shows and will be closed on Sundays according to a government order.

The movie was already running to only 50% occupancy in theaters and these added COVID-19 restrictions along with disgruntled theater owners, means that Karnan is soon reaching its theatrical run-end in Tamil Nadu.

And if the movie's gross rate is anything to go by, then Karnan is expected to close with Rs. 50 Cr. total collection in the state.
