Composer Ilayaraja has finally let go of his space at Prasad Studios and inaugurated a new beginning to his music composing at his new studio at MM Theaters, Chennai. The veteran musician recorded the first song for director Vetrimaaran's film with Soori, which received wide Tamil media coverage today. 

Vetrimaaran's movie with Soori seems to have undergone a renewal of its own, for it is now being said that the film is based on Jeyamohan’s short story Thunaivan. Actress Bhavani Sree will be seen playing female lead and actor Vijay Sethupathi Soori's father. 

Vetrimaaran has said that while Soori will be the 'hero of the story', Vijay Sethupathi's role in the film is crucial and 'equivalent to that of a lead'.
