With the 21-day lockdown on the verge of being extended by the state and central governments and the general atmosphere surrounding the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, buzz in the Tamil movie industry is that big Tamil movies like Master (Vijay), Soorarai Pootru (Suriya), Cobra (Vikram) and Jagame Thanthiram (Dhanush) will see a delay in release till June, 2020. 

Trade sources predict that it will be a while until normalcy returns to movie theaters resulting in the delay of these biggies until mid of June this year. It is worth mentioning here that even before the pandemic was a serious situation in India, overseas distributors of Tamil movies were requesting a push-back in releases owing to the movie theater shutdown in several countries till May, 2020.
