Prabhu Deva starrer cop drama 'Pon Manickavel' was slated for release on March 6. The release has now been postponed and a new release date is yet to be announced by the makers. According to reports, the National Multiplexes in Chennai and Chengalpet has clearly stated that they will open ‘advance booking’ for the film only after getting a lab clearance mail. 

Prabhu Deva is essaying the role of a cop for the first time in his career in Pon Manickavel. Directed by AC Mugil, Nivetha Pethuraj plays the leading lady. The suspenseful investigative thriller is produced by Nemichand Jhabak and has music by D Imman. The trailer of the film fetched good response from critics and audience.
