Tamil news channels reported today of an unexpected income tax (IT) raid at the shooting spot of Vijay's upcoming film Master, which we believe caused a halt in the shooting. Apparently the team was shooting at Neyveli when the tax raid took place. 

Word also has it that actor Vijay was taken in for questioning while it remains unclear as to why. It is also worth mentioning here that a tax raid at a shooting spot is not a common occurrence, so it remains to be seen if updates are to follow on the development.

Master is a production venture of XB Films, who are related to Vijay and it is expected to come out in April, 2020. The film is a Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial with Anirudh for music and Vijay Sethupathi in the antagonist role.
