Court directs Thalaivi, Queen makers to not depict Deepa!

In November, we had reported Jayalalitha's niece Deepa seeking a stay on A.L. Vijay's movie Thalaivi and Gautham Menon's web-series Queen, claiming the directors had not sought permission from any surviving relatives including her to proceed with their versions of her late aunt's biopic.

The Madras High Court held on Thursday rejected her plea, enabling Queen's premiere today [Menon has claimed that Queen is not a Jayalalithaa Biopic.] Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy who presided over the matter also concurred since AL Vijay had given an undertaking that Deepa does not feature in the film, her right to privacy remains protected.

Since Gautham Menon has flat rejected that Queen is about Jayalalitha, he has been directed by the court to not to include any characters resembling Deepa.
