Suriya's Soorarai Pottru is one of the most-awaited films in Kollywood directed by Sudha Kongara. The first look of the film which was unveiled recently has impressed both the fans and audience. The film is inspired by the life of Air Deccan founder, GR Gopinath.

In a recent interview to a leading newspaper, Sudha Kongara shared few insights about her upcoming film. Suriya will be sporting two different avatars in the film one of a dhoti-clad young man and the other with a ripped, muscular look. The film is not a complete action-packed movie like Skyfall but has few high octane stunts  which have been  choreographed by Hollywood stunt choreographer Greg Powell of 'Skyfall' and 'Bourne Ultimatum' fame. The filmmaker has assured that the film will be a visual treat for the audience.

Produced by 2D Entertainment, Soorarai Pottru has Aparna Balamurali playing female lead and G.V. Prakash for music. The film also stars Mohan Babu, Jackie Shroff, Karunas and Paresh Rawal among others. The film is set to hit the screens for Summer 2020. The Telugu version of the film has been titled "Aakaasam Nee Haddhu Ra".
