Dhanush's Asuran which hit the screens on October 4 is continuing its steady run at the Box Office in its second week. The film has retained the top position for this week too at the Chennai Box Office. The film which minted Rs. 42 lakhs on Sunday has made a total gross of Rs. 4.39 cr in the city in 10 days. 

SivaKarthikeyan's 'Namma Veetu Pillai' which hit the screens on September 27 is still among the Top 5 list even in its third week. The film which has already crossed Rs. 50 cr mark in TamilNadu has collected Rs. 5.20 cr in 17 days in Chennai.

Three new releases Aruvam, Puppy and Petromax which hit the screens on October 11 have registered below average opening in TN. Asuran which released in around 300 screens in its first week got more screens in its second week (350+ screens) due the excellent opening it received in its first week. NVP on the other hand is running in around 175 screens while compared to new releases which got lesser screens. As no notable films will be releasing till Diwali, both these films are expected to continue their steady run at the Box Office.
