Sivakarthikeyan's recent outing 'Namma Veetu Pillai' directed by Pandiraj hit the screens worldwide on September 27. The film has crossed the milestone Rs. 50 cr mark in TN in 12 days. The rural entertainer opened to mostly positive reviews and has been lapped by family audience especially in B and C centres. Since the film released during the holiday season it has helped boost the film's collection to a large extent. NVP marks Sivakarthikeyan's second film to cross Rs. 50 cr mark in TN after Velaikkaran. 

The film has performed well in Chennai city too. It has grossed Rs. 4.73 cr in 12 days. Compared to other territories the film has been doing good business in TamilNadu. The film minted around Rs.2.5 cr from the rest of the country. NVP is estimated to have collected over $1 million from overseas markets.
