If recent reports are anything to go by, then Zee TV has bagged the satellite rights to Chiranjeevi, Vijay Sethupathi, Amitabh Bachchan and Kichcha Sudeep starrer Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, which is due for a release on October 2, 2019. Zee has reportedly bought the rights of all the five versions (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada) of the movie for a whopping Rs. 125 Cr, which is among the highest prices for South Indian movies.
Sye Raa's digital rights are also said to be included in this deal, with no official confirmation from either Zee or Ram Charan, who has produced the movie. It is worth mentioning here that prior to this, Amazon's Prime Video was said to have acquired the digital rights for this upcoming movie for Rs. 40 Cr.
Based on the life of freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who fought the British invasion in the 18th century, Sye Raa is a big-budgeted epic film that also stars Nayanthara and Tamannaah among others. The film's trailer drops today at 5. 31 PM.
