After many days of specualtion, it has now been made official that Kaithi, actor Karthi's upcoming prison-break drama will be hitting theater screens for Diwali, 2019. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Dream Warrior Pictures, Kaithi will see Karthi in the role of a character named 'Dilli' and has no female lead or songs.

Also starring actor Naren in an important role, Kaithi has music by Sam C.S. and will be meeting Vijay's Bigil and Vijay Sethupathi's Sanga Thamizhan at the box-office (Among the two other films which were scheduled for Diwali, 2019, Pattas  is said to be releasing for Christmas, 2019 and Action is yet to officially confirm).
