Veteran Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal who is known for playing character roles in well known Hindi films such as Sanju (2018), Hera Pheri (2000) among others is finally making his debut in Tamil after all these years. The National cum Padma Shri award winning actor will be seen playing villain in Suriya's upcoming Soorarai Pottru. 

Reportedly, Rawal will don the role of a business airline's CEO, presumably Air Deccan founder G.R. Gopinath's (whom Suriya is portraying in the film) market competitor. Produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment in association with Guneet Monga, Soorarai Pottru is directed by Sudha Kongara and also stars Aparna Balamurali and veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu in crucial roles. G.V. Prakash is composing the music for this film.
