Sivakarthikeyan's Mr Local, directed by M Rajesh, has opened to mixed reviews. The film is said to have grossed around Rs 5.75 Crore on its opening day in Tamil Nadu. 

This is comparatively lower than that of what Sivakarthikeyan's earlier films like Seema Raja and Velaikkaran collected on the first day. With mixed talks about the film spreading like wildfire, it is sustaining at the box office only due to Sivakarthikeyan's "Star Value". We will have to wait and watch how this film would fare in its entire run at the box office.
