Nayanthara hits back at 'chauvinist' Radha Ravi! Says will continue to play Goddess & Ghost!

The rarely outspoken Nayanthara has issued her first direct statement on the Radha Ravi episode and it comes as no surprise that the actress has lashed out as much as thanked those who stood by her.

Radha Ravi attended the trailer launch of Nayanthara's upcoming film Kolayuthir Kaalam and spoke about Nayanthara being the casting choice for playing Sita (in Telugu movie Sri Rama Rajyam) and a Ghost. He made an sly innuendo that people who can 'be prayed to or called towards you (sexually)' are both being cast for the role of a goddess.

Radha Ravi drew a lot of flak for these comments, with DMK placing him on temporary suspension and the Nadigar Sangam issuing a public warning for his behaviour. The actor later stated that he was willing to 'express regret' to Nayanthara and her long-time partner Vignesh SivN, but refused to apologize or retract his statements.

Now, Nayanthara has issued a statement of her own where she equates Radha Ravi's speech to 'male chauvinism', thanks DMK leader M.K. Stalin for his timely action on his party member and requests the South Indian Film Artistes Association for a Vishaka guildelined Internal Complaints Committee.
