Radha Ravi ready to 'express regret' to Nayanthara but won't retract statements!

 

Earlier today, we had reported about actor Radha Ravi's insensitive remarks about the Pollachi sexual abuse case and his degradation of actress Nayanthara at the trailer launch of her own film.

Following this, the actor-politician was placed on temporary suspension from DMK and the South Indian Film Artistes' Association, otherwise known as the Nadigar Sangam sent out an open letter warning the 67 year old actor for his behaviour.

Now Radha Ravi has issued a follow-up statement on the issue where he says, "..The press who were present that day came up to me and appreciated my speech..If I had spoken something wrong, they would have condemned it right then and there.They did not condemn because I did not speak anything wrong."
  
About the condemnation he has been receiving from other film industry people, Radha Ravi said,
"That is ok..they felt it was wrong, so they are condemning it...But I will express regret only to Nayanthara and Vignesh SivN. I feel bad because it has affected them and they belong to my entertainment industry...I do not have any hesitation in telling this to them directly."
