Following his directorial debut Maayavan, acclaimed producer C.V. Kumar announced Gangs of Madras, his second film as director last year and now the team had announced the release date of the film. The movie is now all set to release on April 12. 

Sai Priyanka Ruth, plays the lead and a female gangster in the movie. Gangs of Madras also stars Ashok, Daniel Balaji, Velu Prabhakaran, Naren and Bagavathy Perumal among others with Karthik K Thillai for cinematography, Hari Dafusia for music and Radhakrishnan Dhanapalan for the edits. The movie is produced by C.V. Kumar's banner Thirukumaran Entertainment.
