Raghava Lawrence's directorial Kanchana has successfully completed 100 days in Tamil Nadu theaters. It also emerged as a Surprising Super Hit in both the versions it had released. It has made around 32 crores from its bi-lingual versions in the boxoffice.

This film also provided the much needed break for Actor Sarath Kumar for doing such a powerful role of a transgender & opened more doors for actress Lakshmi Rai who made her presence as a glam doll.

The Hindi remake rights have gone for a whooping rate after its Success in South India. The Hindi version will have Salman Khan & Sanjay dutt in the lead & the female lead is yet to be decided. Raghava Lawrence is also stepping into bollywood with this project as the director for the hindi version.
