With three Telugu biggies lined up for release during the long Sankaranthi festival weekend, the Telugu version of Rajinikanth's Petta is finding difficulty getting theater screens in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telengana.

Distributor Ashok Vallabhaneni who holds the Telugu rights of Petta, has now confirmed this scenario and has also accused big names like Allu Aravind, Dil Raju and UV Creations for now allowing enough theaters or screens for this Sun Pictures produced film.

Addressing the press that about producers blocking theater screens for only Telugu biggies, Ashok is quoted to have said, ”I request Telangana CM KCR and Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu to intervene and put an end to this theater mafia which is killing small filmmakers and actors,”

The Telugu films that are releasing alongside Petta are the NTR biopic, Kathanayakudu starring Balayya (January 9, 2019), Vinaya Vidheya Rama starring Ram Charan Teja (January 11, 2019) and Venkatesh, Varun Tej starrer F2 (January 12, 2019).
